Premier League: Cristiano Ronaldo's future complicated after negotiations with Manchester United stuck

 Speculation on the future of Cristiano Ronaldo continues. The certainty of his future has not met with clarity after his meeting with Manchester United on Tuesday (26/7/2022) reportedly ended in a dead end.


After never joining the Manchester United squad absent from pre-season tours to Thailand and Australia, Ronaldo finally returned to Carrington with his agent, Jorge Mendes.


There, they held talks with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and two Red Devils officials, John Murtough and Richard Arnold.


However, there were no significant results. Then, what is the future of Cristiano Ronaldo ?


Both are Stubborn

According to reports, The Telegraph  claims that the talks between Ronaldo and Manchester United have yet to produce anything concrete.


Ronaldo is still insistent on moving to another club this summer. On the other hand, the Manchester United camp still insists that they are reluctant to let go of the star.


Ten Hag reportedly gave Ronaldo a starter guarantee. On the other hand, CR7 only wants to play in the Champions League, something that Manchester United does not have in this new season.


Many Rejected?

Jorge Mendes is claimed to have offered Ronaldo to a number of top European clubs, including Chelsea and Bayern Munich. However, both clubs refused to sign the star.


Later rumors emerged that Ronaldo was ready to play for Atletico Madrid, which incidentally is the city rival of his former club, Real Madrid.


Unfortunately, this plan received a negative reaction from Atletico supporters. They are busy rejecting the arrival of Ronaldo.


Atletico Madrid Denies

Meanwhile, rumors of Ronaldo's arrival to Atletico Madrid have been denied by the president of the Spanish capital club, Enrique Cerezo.


"I don't know who created this story about Cristiano Ronaldo joining Atletico," said Enrique Cerezo.


"The rumors are not true. It is practically impossible for him to come to Atletico," said Cerezo.
